☾ How’s Your Crown Chakra?

Hello! So here it is! The last of our Chakras! I hope you enjoyed the other posts we have done on the chakras, if you haven’t already read them then you can find them on our main page or the links on the left.

I will again just briefly cover the basics of what a chakra is and why it is important to cleanse your chakras, if you’ve already read my other posts, you can skip this bit.

A Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body. The major chakras are energy centres located along the spine. Seven chakras run from the base of the spine to the top of your head. These energy centres are responsible for the balance in our emotional and physical self. The energies of the chakras also affect how events happen in our reality.

It’s so important to cleanse your chakras, having balanced chakras (or imbalanced ones) can impact all areas of your life. Chakras are receptors and emitters. They receive and give back energy. You will receive the same frequency of energy back from the world that you emit.

When one of your chakras are not in balance, it may shrink in size and the other chakras will expand more than they need to, to make up for the shortfall of energies. This misalignment of the chakra energy centres can create mayhem in the flow of energies and can manifest with into lots of spiritual and physical problems. So, it’s so important to keep all the chakras cleansed, balanced and free of any continuous negative influences.

So, now we’ve covered the basics shall we get on with the final Chakra in our series The Crown Chakra!

The Crown Chakra

The crown chakra is the sum of all the lower six chakras. It is the key to accessing higher conscious levels that connect a person to the Divine and the guidance of the Universe. It is essentially your spiritual self. Working on the Crown Chakra is all about focusing on the higher self, it is associated with the pursuit of spiritual peace, and connecting to higher consciousness or state of being. It is commonly pictured as concentric rings of flower petals, which represent the divine lotus.

The Sanskrit name for this chakra is ‘Sahasrara’ which means ‘thousand petal lotus’.

If the crown chakra is out of balance, you will have difficulty meditating, difficulty feeling connected, spiritual disinterest, as well as boredom, feeling antsy with the mundane, not feeling connected to one’s purpose or wisdom, or wanting complete isolation.

When imbalanced you can feel a lack of purpose or a disconnection from the Divine Source, it can also manifest as mental and neurological disorders.

When in balance you will enjoy a deep sense of Spiritual connection with the Divine, a connection with the Universe, wisdom and peace. You will feel blessed and grateful for the life you have.

How to Awaken the Crown Chakra

The mantra for the crown chakra is pure silence. Only in silence can your soul connect to the Divine and listen to the messages of the Divines guidance.

One great way to help target the alignment of the crown chakra is through moving your body. Specific yoga poses like headstands are also amazing for awakening and balancing the crown chakra. If you’re new to yoga, even trying something as simple as lying upside down to get blood flow moving to the top of the head can help, so don’t worry if you don’t know any Yoga poses.

Food for The Crown Chakra

The best food for the crown chakra of the soul is fresh air! So, get out for a walk and enjoy the sun on your skin and the breeze in your hair! Drink lots of water and try to eat lots of white or purple foods like Mushrooms, garlic, ginger, onion, lychee and coconut.

As this is the last one of our chakra posts, I just want to end on why the connection between the seven chakras is important.

All of your seven chakras must be aligned and balanced, we cannot single out one chakra to bring harmony to your life.

All the chakras are deeply connected and when the lower six chakras are aligned, then the seventh crown chakra can function properly.

Even if there are no visible or obvious problems in your life, a chakra tune-up still helps you to become more spiritual. It will also help you to unlock the gifts of your chakras in the form of manifesting, an abundance of health, and in positive relationships.

Fully awakened chakras will build a strong connection for you with the Universe and the Divine force. When all the seven chakra energy centres are balanced, they will keep your spirit on the right path.
